Task 6

I decided to do page 3 out of my comic book for the final piece because it's in the middle of the entire story and has the main plot included within it. I chose not to colour in the skin on the hands because in the previous scene my human eyes were traded for wolf ones which can only see in black and white. However as they are a predator I decided to colour in the blood to put emphasis on the gore part of this story and to show the bloodlust that I was gaining and how my senses were developing further. This art style isn't often used anymore but the effect that it creates is perfect for my story. What is happening on this page is that my hands begin to shake as I look down at them, in the section below my fingers break and disfigure from their normal state which cause enormous amounts of pain. Next, sharp bones begin to pierce through my skin which will later become my claws. After this my teeth start to fall out and eventually I'm just looking at pools of blood and teeth on the ground. I then feel some traversing up my throat and a wolfs mouth begins to exit my mouth stretching my jaw until it eventually breaks leaving shattered pieces on the floor. Finally the full transformation is complete and I am a werewolf. For the first 3 scenes I chose to do a first person view as this would involve the reader more in the story as if they were actually witnessing this event happening before their eyes. Also this allows the readers to connect with the character more, seeing things through their eyes adding a new perspective/element to the story. For the jaw breaking I decided to draw a human skull like it was in an x-ray machine because it allows you too see what is actually happened to the jaw, how it has broke and where it has broke.
